Ancient Greece. Gorgon obol from Selge in Pisidia 4th century BC.

Obverse: Facing gorgoneion with protruding tongue.

Reverse: Head of Athena to left, wearing crested Attic helmet; behind to right, astragalos.

Origin: Selge in Pisidia.

Date of minting: 350 - 300 BC.

Die engraver: Unknown die engraver at the Selge mint.

Materials and method: Struck in silver.

Dimensions: 11 mm diameter.

Weight:   0.94 grams.

Condition: Good very fine with light porosity.
