Material and method: Sheep’s wool pile; cotton warps and weft; hand woven on a loom.
Origin: Said to have been woven in Mashad, North East Iran. The maker has signed the carpet in the pile in Persian script, Al Nouri.
Dimensions: 355 x 244 cm
Age: Probably late 20th century.
Condition: In excellent condition – no signs of use or repairs apparent. Full pile.

Comments: This carpet has been woven using high-quality wool and so the pile is a pleasure to touch and walk on. The wool has been dyed with good quality colours and a high level of colour saturation has been achieved. The ivory wool background highlights the colours and the design. The result is a carpet that is very pleasing to the eye and will add warmth and colour to any home. Ready for use.
